The Broomfield Spine + Injury Difference

At Broomfield Spine + Injury, we prioritize patient focused treatment at our Broomfield chiropractic, spine and injury clinic. Dr. Manteris has extensive knowledge of the changing health care environment and is up to date on current research.

On your first visit you will receive a free consultation where you will discuss with Dr. Manteris your health history and concerns.  After your initial consultation we offer new patients a comprehensive evaluation, detailed report-of-findings and your first adjustment for only $79.  Broomfield Spine + Injury does have a digital x-ray machine onsite if Dr. Manteris feels imaging is beneficial to the diagnosis of your condition.

If you have never visited a chiropractor and the thought of “cracking” makes you anxious or nervous, don’t worry!  We have worked with many first-time chiropractic patients and Dr. Manteris will never do anything that makes you uncomfortable and he is a fantastic resource.  You can ask any questions you may have; share any fears or horror stories you may have heard, and he will patiently address them all.  As for the “crack”, Dr. Manteris uses a variety of techniques that allow for joint mobilization without the cracking and popping sounds and sensations often associated with a chiropractic adjustment.

No two patients are the same.  Some patients require more extensive therapy while other patients require only a few visits. Feel confident that you will only receive the treatment you need. Dr. Manteris is highly credentialed and devoted to his patients. This makes our level of care exemplary and unsurpassed in the Broomfield, Lafayette, Louisville, Superior and Westminster areas.

State-of-the-Art Chiropractic Care

We have the technology, equipment and training you expect from a top Colorado chiropractic clinic. We use evidence-based practices in combination with the right equipment to diagnose and treat patients.

Digital radiography is a key development in diagnostic imaging that can help improve patient care, support better patient outcomes.  Principal advantages over traditional film-based radiography include enhanced brightness resulting in clearer image quality, cost savings to patients, 70% less radiation exposure than traditional film x-rays, more images can be taken if needed, environmentally friendly and results are received almost immediately.

This technique is the most common in chiropractic and involves the manual adjustment of the patient using a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust by hand.

We use a specialized table at our clinic to provide Dr. Manteris the ability to deliver a thorough and more comfortable spinal manipulation. The table and the area of the patient’s body will simultaneously drop with the thrust of the adjustment. This alleviates some of the force of the manual adjustment.

  • Activator Method: The Activator Methods are for patients seeking a “gentler adjustment” or for patients that have severe, acute pain.  A hand-held device (Activator or Impulse IQ) is used to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal joint or vertebrae.
  • Impulse iQ®: Another instrument technique that thrusts at the ideal frequency to maximize motion while changing frequencies in real-time as motion improves. Impulse iQ® has patented Auto-Sense® technology that senses maximized mobility and ceases the adjustment. It also provides feedback of the patient’s response to the adjustment.

Part of our therapeutic exercise is the wobble chair. This chair is a patented, height-adjustable stool with a specifically designed seat. The seat provides exercise motion needed for lumbar disc mobility and rehydration. It aides in the reduction of back pain.

We also use wall-mounted neck traction as part of our therapeutic exercise. The cervical neck traction devices help reestablish motion in the neck, aiding in the relief of a stiff or sore neck by gently stretching the neck, separating spinal discs and taking pressure off the spine.

Also known as non-surgical spinal decompression, is a practice that utilizes spinal decompression tables to relieve pain by creating a scenario in which bulging or herniated disc tissue move back into place and heal, alleviating the pain. A spinal decompression table is the main tool used in non-surgical spinal decompression therapy. The goal of this therapy is to relieve chronic back, arm, neck, and/or leg pain while healing the source of the pain.

Utilizing a vibrating machine, often a vibration platform (Vibe Plate), to create repetitive or vertical motion around a central point. For most people, vibration machines produce a minuscule movement as you perform static poses like stretching or dynamic exercises. Localized vibration can stimulate improvements in selected, small muscle groups.

E-stim or EMS mimics the action potential that comes from the central nervous system. EMS therapy creates steady electric impulses that stimulate muscle contractions, including many of them over a sustained therapy session. This repetitive contracting and relaxing of the muscle increases circulation, improves strength, improves range of motion and slows muscle atrophy.  Common uses of EMS:

  • Pain Management
  • Relieve back spasms
  • Work weakened or atrophied muscles
  • Retrain muscles after surgery or injury
  • Aid in athletic recovery

Custom made devices designed to support and comfort your feet. They match the contours of your feet precisely based on the way you move. Orthotics accommodate your unique foot structure and pathology. Prescription orthotics last for many years when cared for properly.

A hand-held instrument that distributes waves of percussive impulses deep into the tissues of the body to promote an increase in lymphatic flow and circulation. This tool is also used to decrease muscle spasm, release joints and loosen fixated areas without using heavy forces.

The Graston Technique is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). IASTM is defined as the use of instruments or tools to assist with the identification and/or treatment of movement dysfunction caused by pain or changes to the soft tissue structures (muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia).  During an acute injury, the main goals of the Graston Technique are to decrease edema, pain, and to increase range of motion. When a patient is treated for a chronic injury, the goals are to disrupt fibrotic (scar) tissue in order to increase range of motion and to decrease pain.
